Many girls cherish boarding life at St Cyprian’s as one of the greatest gifts of their school years. The welcoming walls of Katherine House offers weekly boarding for 55 students from Grade 8 through to Grade 12. Guided by caring staff and the Grade 12 student leaders, the girls bond and form deep friendships that last a lifetime. 

Boarding is particularly suited to girls who are keen to experience communal living and love to immerse themselves in school life and make the most of all the opportunities and activities on offer at St Cyprian’s. 

The Katherine House family thrives within the broader school community and, through their boarding experience, the girls grown into independent, resilient leaders. While evening prep in the library and independent work provide a strong academic foundation, the girls are always ready to help and support one another – in the process, growing their collaboration, communication and self-management skills. 

Recent bathroom and common room renovations, an upgraded kitchen and a new dining room have made Katherine House a warm and inviting home from home. 

After a long school day, the girls enjoy the chance to let their hair down. Watching TV or playing table tennis, pool, air hockey and piano are just a few of their favourite ways to relax before bedtime.
