There exists within everyone a grand passion, an outlandish thirst for adventure, a desire to live boldly and vividly through the journey of life.”

Our 150th year (2021) marked the launch of the Quest, a 21-day wilderness adventure through the dramatic terrain of the Cederberg mountains. A rite of passage, the Quest takes place at the end of the Grade 9 academic year and has at its core the framework of character development. It is a time for self-discovery, exploration and growing agency.
During the Quest, our students are exposed to a range of exciting activities, including hiking, cycling, running, kloof swimming, alien vegetation clearing, outdoor education, community partnerships, leadership opportunities and team building. More than a test of endurance, this immersive experience invites each girl to step into leadership, embrace collaboration and reflect on her personal growth.
Every year, the Grade 11s embark on an unforgettable adventure along the Orange River from beyond the Namibian border, taking part in an immersive and challenging integrated programme. Over four days and five nights, they paddle, camp beneath the vast expanse of stars and strengthen their bonds as a grade. The journey challenges everyone in unique ways, fostering personal growth, social connection and physical resilience.
