Admissions FAQs
Applications may be submitted at any time within three years of the requested entry year. Limited placement is available in Grade 1, as Grade R is the final intake year for the Preparatory School.
Only fully completed applications will be placed on the waiting list.
No. However, annual reconfirmation of interest in a future place is required to ensure the applicant remains on the active waiting list.
Yes. Any request to transfer to a different grade or entry year, once on the waiting list, must be submitted in writing to the Admissions Office.
School visits form part of the admissions process and are arranged by the Admissions Office at the appropriate stage in the admissions cycle. Families are invited to visit when a placement may realistically become available, ensuring a meaningful and well-timed experience of the school.
Yes. Applications must be kept up to date with the latest school reports and any other relevant documentation before placement is considered. Updated reports should be emailed to the Admissions Office.
When a place becomes available in a specific grade, applicants under consideration are discussed with the head of the Preparatory School. An interview with the head of the Preparatory School may then be arranged.
Placements are made in accordance with the School’s Admissions Policy.
Boarding is not available for Preparatory School students.
We do not hold Preparatory School Open Days.
Enrolled Grade 7 students receive preferential placement offers for Grade 8 and are not required to reapply for admission to the High School, provided they meet the entry requirements.
