Admissions FAQs

A limited number of places are available in Grade 8 each year. Applications may be submitted at any time within three years of the requested entry year. 

Grade 8 applications close after the Grade 8 Open Day in the year before proposed entry. Only fully completed applications will be registered on the waiting list. 

Enrolled Grade 7 students receive priority placement offers for Grade 8, provided they meet the entry requirements.

Scholarships and bursaries are only available for students entering Grade 8. Applications close after the Grade 8 Open Day, in the year before proposed entry. It is a requirement that a completed Grade 8 application is submitted prior to the scholarship/bursary application. Selected candidates are invited to write the Scholarship Examinations. Applications for Grade 9 and Grade 10 are considered when places become available. Entry after Grade 10 is only considered in exceptional cases; prospective applicants should contact the Admissions Manager directly.

Weekly or termly boarding is available in Katherine House. Prospective boarding applicants must request a boarding application form from the Admissions Office. 

School visits form part of the admissions process and are arranged by the Admissions Office at the appropriate stage in the admissions cycle. Families are invited to visit when a placement may realistically become available, ensuring a meaningful and well-timed experience of the school. 

Yes. Applications must be up to date with school and other reports before placement is considered. Updated documentation should be emailed to the Admissions Office. 

Candidates will be invited to an interview with the Principal as part of the placement process. 

Placements are made in accordance with the School’s Admissions Policy.
