St Cyprian’s School – Preparatory School News

Dear Preparatory School Parents and Guardians

As we come to the end of the year, it is with much pride that I look back and see how much our girls have grown. I was especially reminded about that on Tuesday when I joined the Grade 3s for breakfast at their camp at Rocklands. I have had the joy of reading to them during my “thrilling Thursday” sessions. From reticent young girls, quiet and measured, they have become bouncy, confident and enthusiastic individuals, keen to share their ideas and give opinions about the world. For teachers, the time and effort invested in getting to know their girls, their personal idiosyncrasies and foibles, have paid off as now they enjoy comfortable, trusting and strong relationships with their students. Too soon it seems they are now preparing to face the prospect saying their good byes. The real privilege for teachers is sharing a full year with their pupils and having the ability to mentor them through key stages in their lives.
