MANAGING DAY ZERO: Overview and update February 2018

February arrived and for Capetonians, Level 6B water restrictions are officially in place. 50 litres per person, per day is the new ‘normal’ for the next few weeks as we try to stave off the grim possibility of ‘Groundhog Day’. Early indications are that the stringent measures are having some positive impact as Day Zero is pushed back from mid-April to early May. Over the next few months, we will update our SCS community on our water management strategy and the ongoing implementation of our tactical plans. It is sufficient to say that a great deal is in progress at the moment.
