Sport at St Cyprian's School
Sport is an integral part of life at St Cyprians School as it is one of the most powerful, inspiring mediums through which our girls can grow in physical fitness, leadership, self-confidence and sense of belonging. Participation in school sport is encouraged and a number of sporting codes are available for the girls to choose from:
- Summer: Swimming, Indoor Hockey, Tennis, Athletics, Basketball, Softball
- Winter: Field Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Cross Country (specialised running programme)
Inter-house athletic events, swimming galas for the preparatory and high school and a number of sporting tours and other events form the highlights of our sports calendar. In addition, St Cyprians girls continuously participate in various inter-school hockey, swimming and athletic competitions.
Alongside the Physical Education lessons from Grade 1-12, the Sports Department offers various physical activities once a week to the pre-school children in "The Woods", aiming to stimulate the development of their basic motor skills. They are kept physically active during lessons, having success and fun interacting with each other through activities like swimming, ball skills and climbing.
